AFFINIMIP® SPE Patulin


Ready-to-use kits AFFINIMIP® SPE Patulin for the analysis by HPLC of:

  • Patulin
  • from a variety of apple-based food matrices (apple juice, apple puree, cider, baby food)

 

AFFINIMIP® SPE Patulin kits contain:

  • Patulin cartridges: 3 mL or 6mL
  • HPLC column for patulin analysis
  • Pectinase solution
  • Patulin Standard Solution
  • Also AFFINISEP support and services for the implantation of the method in your lab or factory.

AFFINIMIP® SPE Patulin is based on molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technology, which makes the test specific, sensitive, rapid and simple to perform. Following a protocol developed by AFFINISEP, the sample extract is centrifuged, filtered, and passed through AFFINIMIP® SPE Patulin column. Patulin is retained within the column. The column is washed to remove unbound material and the toxin is then released from the column following elution with solvent. The eluate is collected prior to analysis by HPLC.

Flangeless cartridges are adapted to the main automate on the market.

Cider spiked with Patulin at 10µg/kg and 40 µg/kg was tested on a HPLC system after sample cleanup with AFFINIMIP® SPE Patulin. Clean chromatograms and recoveries above 80% were obtained.

Dried apple analysis with AFFINIMIP®SPE Patulin 6mL-200mg – UV detection.
Dried apple dices spiked with Patulin at 10µg/kg and 20 µg/kg were tested on a HPLC system after sample cleanup with AFFINIMIP®SPE Patulin 200mg cartridges. Clean extracts and recoveries above 90% were obtained.

Apple/pear and apple/strawberry purees were tested on a HPLC system after sample cleanup with AFFINIMIP®SPE Patulin. Recoveries above 75% were obtained.
